Challenge

The client wanted to migrate all high value & international payment flows from legacy platforms to new architecture, delivering ISO20022 compliance across four payment schemes and implementing further Cash Management & Payments propositional enhancements through a scaled agile model. This was the clients first major agile at scale programme in payments.

My Role

I organised and ran a series of workshops to identify the problems that existed and the needs in order to meet ISO20022 compliance.

Facilitated sessions with key people to create a prioritised backlog and product roadmap.

Organised and ran their first programme increment retrospective remotely with ~80 people, presenting back outcomes and learnings of the last few months as well as facilitating root cause analysis for continuous improvement.

Outcomes

Launched their first Agile release train, coaching and training 250 people in the Scaled Agile Framework methodology to realise more effective delivery across numerous payments platforms.
